‘Earth Inferno’ by The Evil Dead – A Comment

Out last January 31st 2017 was ‘Earth Inferno‘ by The Evil Dead via Witches Brew label.

A blackened heavy metal/hardrock band from Buenos Aires, Argentina, The Evil Dead achieves the feat to incorporate blackened vocals into rhythmic metal and rock’n’roll, that, with their fine ear to melody, they really makes us like the ‘Earth Inferno‘ album.

Citing my friend at Qabar:

The Evil Dead has experimented such a sound that is having the grooves of Thin Lizzy, AC/DC and Lynyrd Skynyrd, the outstanding harmonies of Iron Maiden, the aggression of Motörhead and Bathory, and the tenebrosity of Dissection.

It is difficult to put better words than these.

Formed in 2006, ‘Earth Inferno‘ is The Evil Dead second full-length album. And as the band like to say it, get ready to get stung by “Electric Evil Metal” with ‘Earth Inferno‘.

Highly recommended. Available on Bandcamp.

‘Speak Not Of The Laudanum Quandary’ by Ashenspire – A Comment

Out this Friday January 20th 2017, is ‘Speak Not Of The Laudanum Quandary‘ by Ashenspire via Code666.

A heavy rock British act, Ashenspire is a mix of folk, rock and DBSM, where the music still holds as heavy metal but the vocals requires our attention as the stories unfolds and the clean lamenting singing leads our ears into a human odyssey.

If you’re into DBSM and are looking for some more down to earth singing and want to be transported into a journey of harrowing journey, get ‘Speak Not Of The Laudanum Quandary‘ by Ashenspire.

Available on Bandcamp.

‘Demons Of The Earth’ by Saddiscore – A Comment

coverOut this September 2nd 2016 is Saddiscore‘s ‘Deamons Of The Earth‘ via Boersma Records.

In the veins of classic heavy metal with a touch of contemporary heavy style and sound, Saddiscore shreds this album with ease giving us catchy tunes and thundering drums.

Although not in the style of aggressive siblings presented on this site, Saddiscore still can please your metal ears.

Founded in 2011, they got the attention of their local fans and embarked into a journey that led them through a demo and the EP ‘Roots Of Fear‘ along with some festivals. They are from Cologne, Germany and lets hope they pursue their endeavour with a bit more darkness, as we like it.
