Siren Head – VORAATH

Self-released last November 8th, 2021, Voraath with Siren Head (Single) featuring Brad Parris (Nile) on vocals and guitar, Joshua Nassaru Ward (Xael, Rapheumets Well) on drums, vocals and keys, along with Paul McBride (Implosive Disgorgence, Sweet Blood) on bass, and guitarists Daniel Presnell and Tylor Kohl.

After hearing the MP3 song a couple of times, I watched the Siren Head” music clip directed by drummer Joshua Nassaru Ward.

But first, I hope you see the initial Siren Head little horror shorty which inpired Voraath to produce the single and music clip.

Kyr’am Beskar – Ecryptus

Navigating between Star Wars themed songs and Technical Death Metal, Ecryptus delivers today via SBDC Records, January 14th, 2022 a really powerful EP – Kyr’am Beskar – which I listened with delight!

Something nearing like some The Ritual Aura; the riffs and melodies are well arranged and the four songs are well produced.

The release of Kyr’am Beskar (Mandalorian for “Death Metal”) follows two demos (2002/2004); The Continuum LP (2005); Astral Crusades EP (2008) and a 7-inch single Rancorous (2018/2020).

The Dregs of Hades – Lock Up

Lock Up is back again with The Dregs of Hades – a really hot album that came out last November 26th, 2021.

I had really loved the previous release, Demonization, where we were cuddled with the sweet vocals of Kevin Sharp (Brutal Truth), a really nice touch to the great riffs of the album – and guess what? He is back on this delicious new release with (fanfares!) Thomas Lindberg (At The Gates) co-sharing the lyric’s with Kevin.

Add Shane Embury (Napalm Death), Adam Jarvis (Pig Destroyer) and not to mention Anton Reisenegger (Criminal); we have an All Star Death Metal Band !

Dig it & Enjoy!

Follow The Scars – DECEREBRATION

Old School Death Metal here with Cerebration from Quebec, Canada and their 3rd album and 1st since the 1990s, Follow the Scars, released December 17th, 2021.

The sound is familiar with Quebec Metal style and the album delivers.

Powerful, wise, melodic and creative.

I speak the truth, yet with every word uttered, thousands die – Gnaw Their Tongues

An oldie but a goodie, Gnaw Their Tongues with I speak the truth, yet with every word uttered, thousands die released in 2020 (so not so far off).

The album is quite harsh like most Gnaw Their Tongues albums. I’m not sharing the harshest and quite bitter album that I’m reserving for a futur post, but this one is one of the least difficult to hear, believe it or not.

Slave to the Scalpel – 200 STAB WOUNDS

Released last November 12th of this holy (what???) 2021 is 200 Stab WoundsSlave to the Scalpel. From Ohio, USA, 200 Stab Wounds gives us a solid album that is in the trenches of Death Metal but with solid Heavy Metal riffs. It delivers! Enjoy!

Released last November 26th, 2021: La noyade de la sorcière by RvbberVvitch; a Canadian rhythmic-melodic black matelasque piece that intrigues the most respected aficionados of the genre and lets the imagination-creeps sink in… Enjoy!
